During the Desert picture Retreat, saguaros, ironwood, palo verde, and tons of cactus pack the house. Moreover it comes with a permanent water supply, and also the wild birds are given amply. Therefore, it is a haven for wildlife.

Although Ron apparently views every one of the desert birds check out his new house, we visited recently to specifically to photograph javelina and gray fox. The wild birds are effortless, the fox predictable, plus the javelina reliable. Two blinds from the home place you into the position that is best for great early morning and night light.

The javelina image is certainly one of a few we took in my first check out. These adorable but voracious “pigs” are most useful photographed during the pond blind. The grey fox start their tasks in the evening and are usually active through the night. Flashes plus some familiarity with remote photography shall assist.
